The Electric Link: From Success to Service
Southwest Industrial Electric Continues to Empower Communities and Industry
In this edition of The Electric Link, we highlight our ongoing commitment to community service and industry engagement. August has been an exciting month for us, marked by our sponsorship of The Maryland Legends 13U Baseball Team and other initiatives. Our dedication to providing exceptional service extends beyond our clients to the communities we serve.
Community Engagement: Supporting The Maryland Legends 13U Baseball Team
We were thrilled to sponsor The Maryland Legends 13U Baseball Team this year. As they geared up for a big tournament, we wish them the best of luck with their season! Supporting youth sports teams is one of the many ways we give back to our community and foster positive relationships.
Industry Events: Exciting Times for Southwest Industrial Electric
Southwest Industrial Electric is thrilled to announce our participation as an official sponsor at two major industry events this season. First, we attended the Small Business Construction Expo at the Long Beach Convention Center. This expo provided a fantastic opportunity for us to connect with industry peers, showcase our services, and explore new business partnerships.
We were equally excited to be a part of the LA Build Expo, hosted at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
As an official sponsor, we not only supported this pivotal event but also actively contributed to the knowledge-sharing and networking opportunities it provided. We were proud to have hosted a speaking session during the LA Build Expo on Wednesday, 08/28, at 2:30pm. This session served as an excellent platform to discuss the latest trends in electrical solutions for the construction industry and share our insights on innovative approaches to energy management.
We appreciated these events as they offered invaluable opportunities to engage with the community, exchange ideas, and further solidify our presence in the industry. We thank all attendees who joined us to explore how Southwest Industrial Electric can power their next project.

August 14, 1888 - Nikola Tesla and the Development of the Induction Motor
On August 14, 1888, Nikola Tesla introduced the world to the induction motor, a revolutionary advancement in electrical engineering. Tesla's design, based on the principles of alternating current (AC), offered a new and efficient way to convert electrical energy into mechanical energy. This technology laid the foundation for modern electric motors and continues to be a critical component in various applications, from household appliances to industrial machinery.
At Southwest Industrial Electric, we celebrate Tesla's contributions and strive to uphold the spirit of innovation and practical problem-solving in all our projects. His work reminds us of the importance of pushing the boundaries of what's possible and delivering cutting-edge solutions to our clients.
Addressing Seasonal Electrical Challenges: Preparing for Fall
As summer winds down and we prepare for the cooler months, it's essential to address seasonal electrical challenges in commercial and industrial settings. The transition from summer to fall can bring changes in energy demand, equipment usage, and maintenance needs.
Energy Efficiency: With the change in seasons, now is an ideal time to conduct energy audits and implement efficiency measures to optimize your electrical systems.
Equipment Maintenance: Regular maintenance checks on critical systems can prevent unexpected downtime. As temperatures fluctuate, ensure that your electrical equipment is properly insulated and functioning correctly.
Safety Checks: The safety of your electrical systems is paramount. Consider scheduling a comprehensive inspection to identify potential issues, such as outdated wiring or overloaded circuits, that could pose a risk in the cooler months.
Our team at Southwest Industrial Electric is ready to assist with all your seasonal electrical needs, from preventive maintenance to energy audits. We're here to ensure your operations run smoothly and safely, no matter the season.
