This Month in Electrical History: February 14, 1876 – The Birth of the Modern Telephone
On February 14, 1876, Alexander Graham Bell filed a patent for what would become the modern telephone, changing the way the world communicated. Bell’s innovations in electrical signal transmission paved the way for today’s telecommunications industry, which relies heavily on industrial electrical infrastructure to keep data flowing globally.
Today, data centers, communication networks, and smart grids all depend on advanced electrical systems, something we’re proud to support in our work!
Meet the Team:
This month, we highlight Bruce Pacilio, a key member of our management team who plays an important role in delivering excellence on our projects.
What is your position at SIE and what interested you in such work?
I am a Production Manager here at SIE, overseeing a portion of our production team and projects. My primary focus is ensuring our customers receive top-quality electrical installations while maintaining efficiency and viability in production. I’ve always been drawn to problem-solving and time management, which naturally led me to a role where I can continually sharpen and expand those skills. The opportunity for growth and new challenges is what initially drew me to this position, and it has allowed me to push myself further in my career.
What do you enjoy most about your job and working at SIE?
What I enjoy most is working in an environment filled with talented and driven professionals. I take pride in watching everyone’s hard work translate into a growing, thriving company, and I’m grateful to play a part in that success.
